Recently some fake NT-K parts from an undetermined source without branding turned up at Hungarian PVC window manufacturers.

These parts are important pieces of the NT fittings family from the aspect of carrying capacity, functionality and safety (pilot rests, stay bearings, sash hinges), that’s why we considered it our duty to analyze, and compare them with the original Roto parts.

According to the results of the tests, we can declare, that these fake parts are in many ways weaker then originals.

We can declare, because of the applied material thickness, the facilitation of the zinc components, the design of screw lowerings, leaving off factory greasing and the low quality of galvanization it is not suggested to use the parts from undetermined source, and they are dangerous from the aspect of carrying capacity and durability of fittings. The fake parts’ lower carrying capacity and bad galvanization quality can cause reclamations, and in worst case breach of fittings, and bad accidents.

Regarding to the important function of these parts, we attract your attention that Roto can’t engage any guarantee and warranty for windows produced with fake parts contrary to windows produced with original Roto parts. In any warranty cases or eventual incidence of loss only the window manufacturer who uses fake parts is responsible.
